Determining the Issue - Awareness
Questionnaire
After doing our research and realizing the opportunities and obstacles of solar panels we discussed as a group and decided that it was crucial for our audience to know these facts so that they could have a full understanding of the potential of solar panels and its usages.
We knew that with an understanding of its opportunities and obstacles people would be able to work on building upon those opportunities and looking to find ways of overcoming those obstacles.

Questionnaire Questions
Our main goal with the questionnaire was to measure how aware people were of the opportunities and obstacles that we researched and found to be crucial.
We created a questionnaire using google forms and surveyed people from IDF Private Bilkent Middle School in Turkey and Gimnazija in Srednja Sola Rudolfa Maistra in Slovenia.

Questionnaire Results
and Analysis
The main takeaway that we had from the results of the questionnaire was that both schools were not aware of the issue with solar energy not having a good and large-scale way of storing it. We would be sure to address this in the solution that we came up with.
In addition, we noticed that more people viewed infrastructure as an issue to the usage of solar panels in Bilkent compared to Gimnazija in Srednja Sola Rudolfa Maistra. We decided to address that a reason why solar panels aren't used as much in Turkey isn't because of missing infrastructure, but the lengthiness of bureaucratic processes involved in connecting a solar panel to the grid.
Also, in both responses, the majority thought that it would take way more than 500,000 km squared of solar panels to power the Earth entirely, we would also focus on showing the true potential of solar panels by showing in an impactful way how little space it would take to power the Earth with solar panels compared to the surface area of the Earth.

Solution
Our proposed solution was to create a presentation in which we would mainly focus on the opportunities and obstacles fo solar panels which we saw were not understood or known as a result of our questionnaire. Then we would connect this presentation to why it was important for awareness by making the presentation feel like a part of a real-world context. By doing so we would involve our audience more and as an end goal have them understand possibilities of solar panels better.
