We investigated our school’s electricity bill as well as calculated our carbon footprint as a school. 

We realized that our school area was suitable for solar panel installation and this solution would help us reduce our carbon footprint.
As a group, we made feasibility calculations by ourselves, before the engineers from Ersis Enerji company came and performed it professionally.

As our issue was our carbon footprint, we could use solar energy and have solar panels connected to our school system to decrease our carbon footprint. This could also be useful in our other goal of raising awareness as people could see the usage of solar panels in a real-world scenario. 

Choosing solar panels was the preferred option because it is a renewable energy source that is significant both globally as well as locally for individuals that want to contribute to decreasing their carbon footprint, or save money eventually by decreasing their electricity bill.
